Research Opportunities
Undergraduate Research is an important component of the undergraduate experience at the University of Pittsburgh. During a typical academic term, an average of 42 undergraduates are participating in faculty-mentored research projects rright here on campus, ranging from pure synthesis, through methods development, to trace detection and high-resolution spectroscopic analyses. Specific programs funding undergraduate research on Pitt's Campus, especially within Chemistry, are listed in the Pitt Research Opportunities link below. Many more undergraduate research opportunities, usually during the summer, are available at institutions across the country (and a few are abroad) - links to those programs brought to our attention can be found under the Non-Pitt Research Opportunities link
